 Dr Budak is a Specialist Upper Gastrointestinal and advanced laparoscopic surgeon who is available for consultations at Suite 1, 393A Crown Street, WOLLONGONG NSW 2500.
He currently operates at The Wollongong Hospital, Figtree Private Hospital, Shellharbour Public Hospital and Wollongong Day Surgery Centre.
His post graduate general surgical training was in the South Western Sydney Surgical rotation including Liverpool, St Vincent's and Wollongong Hospitals (1996-2000). Following this he underwent post fellowship sub-specialist training in Upper Gastrointestinal and Trauma Surgery at The Canberra and Westmead Hospitals ( March 2001-2003).
He had further Bariatric Surgery training at The Hills Private and St George Private Hospitals in Sydney, The Centre for Bariatric Surgery, The Alfred, Melbourne and Mercy Bariatrics, Perth.
He has been working as a consultant Upper Gastrointestinal, Bariatric and General Surgeon in the Wollongong region since 2003.
His main interests are Upper Gastrointestinal and Obesity Surgery including:
- Laparoscopic Gastric Banding and sleeve gastrectomy
- Endoscopic insertion of intra-gastric balloon for weight loss
- Laparoscopic abdominal and inguinal hernia repair
- Laparoscopic gall bladder surgery for gall stones
- Laparoscopic fundoplication (anti-reflux surgery)
- Upper and lower endoscopy
- Laparoscopic small bowel resection
- Laparoscopic division of adhesions
- Oesophago-gastric cancer surgery
